Summer dress with back lacing
Elle Boutique was established by Wendy Ganley in Hamilton in the mid-1960s. Wendy and her label have left a lasting legacy in the designer fashion industry of today, for it was in her workroom that Marilyn Sainty started her fashion career, and Elisabeth Findlay, who was a fan, stocked Elle in her first shop Tart in Parnell. Read more about 1970s fashion in the New Zealand Fashion Museum publication The Age of Aquarius: A 70s Revolution in Fashion.
