White evening dress with fabric flowers

After Trilby Yates' early death, her sister Julia continued to run their millinery business, although she soon widened their offering to include womenswear. Trilby's daughter Digsy started in the Trilby Yates workroom when she was older. She progressed to become a cutter/designer by the early 1950s but when Digsy decided to leave to get married, Julia made the decision to retire and close the business.
