Velvet & satin cake-tin hat
Lindsay Kennett started as a milliner in the early 1950s, going on to become one of the main wholesalers of model hats to stores around the country. From his Auckland workroom, he produced two seasonal collections per store per year. Every design was different.
This hat is modelled by Robyn Garland. The photo was taken by Ted Mahieu, not long after he went out on his own as a commercial and fashion photographer.
