Skirt and jacket with tasselled tie at back

This jacket and skirt belonged to Mrs Jamima Udy. During the 1910s the richly decorated fashions gave way to plainer garments that reflected the impact of the First World War. Skirts worn with a blouse and jacket became a popular alternative to a dress.
