This skirt is designed by trained pattern maker, Katie Romagnoli (nee Brown). Katie started Papercut Patterns, a boutique sewing pattern service which sells digital and physical patterns for a range of sewing abilities. Katie sees home sewing as a definite international trend. "I think people are becoming more aware of the true cost of mass production and coming back to their core values - rediscovering the satisfaction of making their own garments." The sewing pattern and make instructions for this dress are included in the book Home Sewn, which can be purchased from the New Zealand Fashion Museum shop.
