Denim waistcoat & long skirt

Mary Jane and Phil O'Reilly sold their denim garments at the Cook Street Market in Auckland. Their label, Black Sheep, was very popular and they often sold out of stock before the end of the day. An editorial piece from the 1970s claims: "The denim used in Black Sheep is the heaviest available, therefore the style and durability of the garments has put something back into the jean market which has sadly been lost in a fast moving throw away society."
