Boxy jacket & hand-painted shirt

Sonja Hammer models an A. Ray outfit at The Box nightclub in the 1990s. Designed by Raewyn Alexander, the jacket is a boxy shape with drop sleeves, and a different coloured sleeve lining that showed when the cuffs were rolled back. The hand-painted shirt is a classic, loose-fitting 1980s-1990s style with one button cuffs. Sonja is also wearing what has become a Lyrical Brooch, made with a base of discarded electrical circuitry and then embroidered with beads and some discarded items, tulle-edged with gold thread. A secret pocket in the back holds a poem written on paper, folded to fit.
