Black Iridescence dress
Black is not a colour synonymous with the Cybèle label or with the halcyon or kingfisher bird of mythology, which inspired her Autumn/Winter 2009 collection, but this particular dress has become a fashion icon. The black strapless dress with wing-inspired detailing at the bust line moved from its high fashion home to the Westie bogan heartland when it was chosen to be the wedding dress for the character of Loretta West in TV3’s hit television series Outrageous Fortune. It has demonstrated its iconic credentials by being able to cross social boundaries.
