This Zambesi ensemble was part of the NGV exhibition, Together Alone, which featured a selection of garments from eight New Zealand and Australian designers. The exhibition catalogue described the outfit. "While playing on masculine and feminine references and notions of the 'tough' and the 'soft', Findlay is able to juxtapose surprising combinations of flowing and luxurious fabrics with hard-edge tailoring. In 'Outfit: Glimmer top, Kimono and Drifter trousers, 2000' trousers of wool suiting are teamed with a vintage floral print robe and topped with the subtle glimmer of a transparent, cut-away sequinned top." The ensemble was also bought and worn by Liv Tyler when she was in Wellington filming the movie series, The Lord of the Rings.
