An Auckland Museum exhibition of the WORLD label from 1989 to 2005 - We Fought Fashion - And Lost was the first exhibition to focus on the work of a New Zealand fashion house. Curator Dr Peter Shand described WORLD as the country's most avant-garde fashion label.
