White cotton and silk organza shirts

These crisp white shirts were designed by Nicole Wesseling for the Intellectual Fashion Show 2016 exhibition. Nicole interpreted June Black's 'Costume to liberate the imagination from collar and tie thinking'. The three white shirts have been designed to empower women, to give them confidence and to go above and beyond the stereotypical collar and tie thinking of corporate communities. They have been designed to give personality and creative freedom to women working in a predominantly male workplace. Crisp white cotton has been given life with pleating techniques. Structured silk organza enhances the pieces with volume and sheer elements. Unbleached silk forms a soft pleat and loosely draped silhouette.
