Wendy Nelson Nights in Black Satin cocktail dress, 1987
This dress by Wendy Nelson is made of a black double-knit stretch ponte, which allows for a figure skimming fit without compromising movement. It features a long sleeve contrasted with a waist deep V neckline. It is also embellished with black satin appliqué on the front in the shape of an encircled diamond as well as vertical panels down the sides.
The NZFM photographed this dress at our Popup photography session in October 2024 which was part of our Hui Auaha o Aotearoa Open Day.
