Two-piece spring suit
This spring suit is by Wellington-based label House of Raymonde. Jacob and Rachel Cohen founded Ray Manufacturing in the 1930s, later changing the name to the more elegant House of Raymonde as the business developed a fashion profile. The Cohens' three sons joined the business, working in design, manufacturing, and retail. Marcus Cohen, the youngest son, worked closely with other Wellington manufacturers to establish the Clothing and Textile course at the former Wellington Polytechnic – now Massey University's School of Fashion and Textiles.
