Tulle dress with sequin bustier

Rose Thomas chose the name Light and Viscosity for her collection of garments shown at the Snake Pit in August 2012. This dress embodies both of these ideas but also illustrates her great love of fun
and fantasy. Rose has never been afraid to stand out from the crowd and has always made and worn her own imaginative creations. Although she had a mother willing to share her sewing skills, Rose preferred to work it out for herself. This has resulted in some fantastical, if unwearable, outcomes over the years, along with enthusiastic and original garments such as these. She is currently active in a collective design project with two others, making and selling clothes through their own Snake Pit Clothing Store on Auckland’s High Street .
