TEAL nurse style uniform

Moving away from the military look, a white nurses style uniform with three gold buttons above the waist line and a false breast pocket on each side, also with a single gold button on each was introduced for TEAL flight hostesses in 1958. The uniform had a white belt with a gold buckle and black epaulets with burgundy and gold on the shoulder to show rank. A single wing metal badge was worn on the left breast pocket and hostesses were encouraged to wear their Registered Nurses badges pinned at the neck with the chain going under the collar. This uniform was worn in summer. The winter uniform consisted of a black pencil skirt with a single-breasted jacket and a single wing badge embroidered and sewn onto the jacket. The blouse was white with a peter pan collar and no tie. It is similar to the NAC uniform of around the same time.
