Te Aria evening gown
This flowing evening gown, 'Te Aria', won the Supreme Award at Westfield Style Pasifika in 2008. Designer Kiri Nathan said her garment was inspired by a photo of her grandparents, where her grandfather was wearing a Māori Battalion uniform. Her grandmother was a talented seamstress and Kiri made the gown on her Singer sewing machine.
