Sapphire evening gown
Chris Leonard won the Gown of the Year competition in 1963 with this blue satin gown called 'Sapphire'. The gown appeared on-stage concealed by a floor-length matching cloak, removed later for a dramatic reveal. It was judged the winning design by public vote.
