Purple suede jerkin & belt

Alison Gracie made this purple suede vest and belt in the 1970. "Mary Quant was big at the time hence the mauve daisies on the pockets. The seams and darts of the vest were secured with strips of the purple suede laced through punched holes.  With the spare suede I cut circles to create a belt and laced that together too." She says it was one of her favourite outfits at the time. "I wore it with a white skinny rib jersey, white hot pants and white over-the-knee socks."
