NAC ground crew uniform
Mrs Margaret Gould was NAC’s first ground hostess. Ladies wore a slanted beret with the embroidered NAC insignia in black on the left side. This hat was similar to the hats that ladies wore in the Royal New Zealand Air Force.
A small NAC badge with two wings was worn on the left collar of the jacket or a curved wing. The jacket had two buttons horizontally at the waist and a hip pocket on each side for practicality and a crisp white blouse and dark tie was worn underneath. The skirt featured a pleat at the front slightly to the left of the wearer. Laced, heeled court shoes and dark hosiery completed the look.
