Milk & Honey swing coat
Sheena Taivairanga designed this swing coat for the graduate show at Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design in 2016. It was part of her 2017 collection, Milk & Honey. The collection included jackets and coats embellished with text by the Pacific writer and artist Lani Lopesi. "The messages are part of a quote written by Lani Lopesi – her artwork influenced a huge part of my research into this collection, which was inspired by my mother’s journey to New Zealand during the late 1960s."
