Carolyn Enting, editor, and award-winning feature writer often wore this Laurie Foon tailored black satin jacket styled with the Trelise Cooper satin cocktail dress it has been photographed with. This was a favourite combination, since the fabrics and shapes compliment so closely. 

The jacket is made from a luxurious wool and silk blend, and features classic tailored details which reference tuxedo styling, however it is closely tailored to a feminine silhouette. There are also subtle shoulderpads built in to the construction to allow for a contrast to the slimly tailored waistline.
