Knit top and high-waisted Audrey skirt

The label Sabatini sits under the umbrella of iconic New Zealand fashion manufacturer, Sonny Elegant Knitwear. Tony Milich, son of the company's founders, has developed the brand in New Zealand. His sister Margie Evans–Milich is based in Sydney. The v-neck top originally came with a knit belt and corsage. Mala Brajkovich launched her self-titled label and store in 2005. Her store was located on Vulcan Lane in Auckland. Her final collection under this label, Pepe's Revenge, was in 2008.  The skirt is from Mala's Spring/Summer 2006 collection called When Audrey Poisoned Ivy. The collection was based on one of her favourite films – The Little Shop of Horrors. "The 'Audrey skirt' was our take on the 1950s/1980s wardrobe aesthetic of the film, in particular  the female lead, Audrey. The ruffles at the top of the skirt represented the ruffle on the head of the Venus flytrap."
