Jumpsuit with cut-outs
Zora Price's fanciful creations stood out against the typical dressmaking sensibilities of the 1970s. This emerald green jumpsuit was a fabulous and beautifully-tailored creation. “This is a jumpsuit that I had, this green jumpsuit. I used to have the slots on the sides up to the top of the hip, diamond shapes, and my husband said ‘you need to get those further up’, I said ‘I can’t have those further up! There’s bare skin through there.’ He said, ‘That doesn’t matter, just hike your pants up a bit further, you’ll be alright’, so I was, that’s what I did with those.” Read more about 1970s fashion in the New Zealand Fashion Museum publication The Age of Aquarius: A 70s revolution in fashion.
