Vintage fashion abounds on Karangahape Road, and if you know where to look you can still see the names and buildings that once made this Auckland's most fashionable street.
Today it is still home to some of New Zealand's most original designers who are continuing a long legacy of fabulous fashion making that can be traced back through quirky boutiques, couture houses, department stores and all the way back to our first menswear manufacturer in 1873. Join New Zealand Fashion Museum curator Doris de Pont for a walk that meets the street of today and strips back the layers to reveal more of its history and fashion credentials.
