Evening Gown With Chiffon Panels
This dress was designed for the American opera singer Mattiwilda Dobbs. Mattiwilda performed in the Auckland Festival of Arts in 1971 and three local designers were asked to design evening gowns for each of the singer's New Zealand performances. The designers were given the singer's measurements but no other information. This dress was designed by Joan Talbot of Tarantella.
