Crocheted Wedding Dress, 1971

I was living in Sydney when my husband and I got engaged. I saw this wedding dress pattern and posted it to our neighbour and friend Ivy Caverhill who crocheted it for me. I came over four weeks before the wedding and it was decided that a train would compliment the dress so Ivy quickly crocheted one, plus a snood for my hair. with a 'Hong Kong' switch hair piece! The wedding was a beautiful day- snow on Mt Taranaki, freezing cold but sunny. I'd love my granddaughter Frieda to treasure it one day.
