Crochet cloak & woven top

This top by Ema-Lea Phillipps is made from woven 'armour' pieces - strips of upholstery fabric with wire sewn in similar to boning. The wire enabled Ema-Lea to create shape and sculpture. It's worn with a crochet cloak, made from cotton drill cut into strips that Ema-Lea overlocked together to create a 'yarn'. She describes it as "free form crochet that was very much a feeling-led practise".
