Joy Gerbic and Colleen Frei started Pour Vous in December 1958. By 1959 their designs were stocked by Smith & Caughey's. Smith & Caughey’s advertised this evening gown as "designed by Pour Vous for the woman who dares to look a year ahead - short tailored front trailing into magnificence!"
