Bridal headpiece

Display artist Hazel Craig was also a self-taught milliner who opened her own salon The Gold Room on Dowling Street in the mid-1950s. She specialised in the design of hand-made model hats and bridal headwear, primarily coronets and tiaras fashioned from pearls. This tiara was made for Greta Haslemore, whose marriage to Reg Barton took place in Dunedin in 1955.
