Blue wool coatdress
Not long after her arrival in Christchurch in 1979, Gaye Bartlett started designing under her own name. Her garments were manufactured by M G McCaul & Co, who she also designed a range for. With more than 30 shops stocking the Gaye Bartlett label, her city suits, well-mannered dresses, immaculate jackets, summer casuals and evening separates found their way into the wardrobes of fashionable women throughout the country.
