Referencing a long tradition of metal music t-shirts, Chronic Fatigue Sindrome made a black band t-shirt. This solo project 
has taken its name from the link artist and performer Andrew McLeod found between his experiences as a sufferer of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and the slow, unrestful drone of doom metal. The image on the shirt – a skull formed by naked bodies – draws on another metal music practice of using imagery and script popular at the turn of the 20th century. While this is usually Art Nouveau style, Andrew’s image references the synchronistic British Arts and Craft Movement, which distinguished itself by proposing that the craftsmanship of the image should remain evident in the end product. The design uses collage to create black and dark imagery with an essentially human touch.
