Barbara Lee Air New Zealand navy & jade uniform, 1992-2005
1992 saw the introduction of new uniforms designed by Barbara Lee of Christchurch. In March 1993 the introduction of the new ground staff wardrobe completed the project of making the same overall corporate style available for the first time in the airline's 53 year history. The new ground wardrobe is the first change for 1200 staff based at airports, travel centres and airline offices around the world. The female ground staff wardrobe featured a collection of tailored and print separates in Pacific jade and dark navy blue, while the men wore jackets in Pacific Jade, with navy trousers and a tie featuring Air New Zealand koru motif. The uniform was refreshed in 1996 with the introduction of the AIRNZ Pacific Wave Livery.
