Exhibition celebrates half a century of young design talent

The pop-up exhibition, Elle and the Youthquake: The changing face of fashion, attracted more than 2000 visitors while at The Nathan Gallery in Britomart.

The dual focus on young designers from the past and the group of current Youthquake designers proved popular with visitors feeling both inspired by historical garments and excited by the latest designs.

New designer, Anthea Tucker, felt “honoured to be part of the exhibition and to be alongside some gorgeous New Zealand talent - both the young and the old. There really isn't another platform that does what Doris is doing with the NZFM, so to be included and acknowledged as an influential young creative is just so so cool.”
