Woven texture top & pleated skirt

Traditional Māori weaving is referenced in this top by Kiri Nathan, made with modern, man-made fabric. The full-length pleated skirt echoes the free moving piu piu, or perhaps the linear patterns found on Tukutuku panels. The hand-woven belt acts as a cummerbund between the top and skirt to emphasis the fullness of the sunray pleats and the fitted top. The pendant is by Neil Adcock.
