Red feather hat decorations
These feather decorations by Reslau Frocks were discovered in the collection at Tauranga Heritage Collection by Justine Neal - the granddaughter of the label's owner. "I was working at the museum and the cultural heritage coordinator Fiona Kean brought out a box of feathers for us to accession. These ones stood out in the box as the nicest there, she couldn’t believe her eyes when she turned them over." It is likely that they were used as hat decorations, but they could have been worn on a coat or a dress.
