Nylon party dress

Kingsmoor was one of the labels made by Auckland company, Classic Manufacturing. In 1953, Classic was based in two central Auckland buildings - the offices in the T&G Building in Elliott Street and the workrooms in the Sun Building on Albert Street. Classic sold their garments in department stores across New Zealand.

Features: The dress with a fitted bodice, a dropped waist and cut-on sleeves. It has a sweetheart neckline at the front and a shallow v at the back. The neckline features a decorative swathe of fabric. The dropped waistline is trimmed with a mock sash which stands proud of the seam and is finished with a large bow tied at the back. It is closed at the centre back with a metal zip.
