Jean Batten Tencel flying suit

This Tencel flying suit by Thornton Hall was dedicated to New Zealand aviatrix Jean Batten’s Solo Flight in 1936. The suit was purchased and worn by Priscilla Gear of Invercargill who loved wearing it and kept it for sentimental reasons. "I bought it not long after I was married and before having children. I couldn’t have afforded it otherwise. I remember it cost around $350-$400."
