Grey tweed dress with decorative buttons

This dress was designed by Christian Dior and made under licence in New Zealand by Auckland manufacturer El Jay. Anna Adams bought this dress from The DIC in about 1963.

"The fabric is thick and prickly so it needed the lining! It was useful because I could dress it up or down."
