Cream hat with pink ribbon
In 1953 Elizabeth Millinery was one of seven millinery salons in Dunedin’s main thoroughfare, indicating a big demand for model hats. This cream felt hat is adorned with a ribbon and a beaded flower, typical of milliners of the era who expressed their creativity by way of decorative details, fabric and colour.
