Cameo fur hat & cravat
Cheryle Carter made these mink fur garments when she worked at Mooneys Furs in Auckland in 1969. "I lined them myself at work," she recalls. "The Mooneys' label is not stitched in, I must have not have bothered finishing off with the label. I just wanted to own a couple of pieces and wear them. I wore them often with different coats over the years." Cheryle was only at Mooneys for six months, before moving onto work at Vance Vivian Menswear which was located at 246 Shopping Centre in Auckland. She now has her own business in Cambridge called The Tailoress.
