Buttercup cocktail dress

This dress was purchased from Kirkcaldie & Stains in Wellington to wear to a cocktail party held
at the Bank of New Zealand
head office. It has a fashionable dropped waist which is finished with a Dior bow. The colour and texture of the dress make it glow like a buttercup in sunlight. Read more about Gus Fisher and the El Jay label in the New Zealand Fashion Museum publication Looking Terrific: The story of El Jay.
