Bohemian style wedding dress & slip

More often than not, wedding dresses allude fantasy rather than fashion. However, Linda Evans’ bohemian style wedding dress was very fashionable and of its time in 1973. The floral patterned lawn, deep ruffle cuffs, empire silhouette and square neckline could have been worn for any occasion throughout this era. It was not only sewing but also fashion which came naturally to Linda, who opened her own boutique in Avondale in 1973. The store was called Country Road Craft and sold embroidered clothing along with handmade pottery, tooled leather bags, and wooden toys. Linda and her husband set up stores throughout their life together, later moving into furnishings. Today, Linda continues to create beautiful and sophisticated appliquéd garments.
