Air New Zealand printed ground crew uniform

A Uniform Dress Committee of a broad cross section of staff was formed in May 1980 to design a new uniform for all ground staff. Uniforms Coordinator Kim Mantle and the committee came up with a blended uniform concept producing an attractive combination of Air New Zealand greens and phasing out the red, white and blue combination. The skirts and tie blouses were replaced with an open collar shirt frock in short and long sleeve styles. The female ground staff also had a smart trouser suit plus a hooded coat with a button-in lining. All male staff wore black trousers and light blue jackets with a white Koru on the breast pocket.
